Year 3 sang their song and practised saying the vocabulary about the four friends. They then were introduced to ne ….and pas. They were given a sets of cards to use to create sentences, which they then wrote into their books

Lo: to rearrange words to write sentences
Year 3 sang their song and listened to the story, doing the actions when appropriate. They then identified nouns, adjectives and verbs in some sentences. They then learnt some instructions- doing the actions quickly or slowly They then worked with their partners to rearrange words to create sentences describing those the Four friends move, in.coding a sentence with their colour. They then wrote the sentences into their books.






























Lo: to use actions when listening to a story
Year 3 listened to a new song about animals. They then listen to the story again and acted out the animal actions as they listened. They then played a version of heads down, thumbs up- choosing one of the animals from the story as the chooser.















Lo: to use actions to join in with a story
Year 3 started their new topic: Les Quatre amis. They listened to the story about 4 friends who were trying to pick an apple from an apple tree. They learnt some actions and some of the vocabulary from the strong. They then joined in with the story. After that they matched images to phrases in their books focusing on identifying which words were masculine and which were feminine


















Lo: to find out about how the French celebrate Easter
Year 3 found out about how the French celebrate Easter. They then revised colours and used a help mat to colour in the Easter scene.









Lo: to write a description of a monster
Year 3 sang their Head,shoulders, knees and toes song in French. They revised colours and the parts of the body. They then used a vocabulary mat to help them label a picture of a monster. After labelling the parts of the body, they looked at agreement of adjectives and nouns and added these to their labels. They then listened to a description of a monster carefully, and held their book up when the description matched the monster they had in their book.


















LO: to draw a picture of a monster from a description
Year 3 revised colours and parts of the body. They then used this knowledge to work out what the monster looked like. They then drew and coloured them in.















Lo: to label parts of the body and draw a face
Year 3 practised their song and played Simon says in French. They then labelled a picture of Homer in their books after some children having a turn to label the picture on the board. After that they played a game of battleships, to draw a picture of a face. There was much excitement when showing their partner their pictures.






























Lo: to draw and colour a monster from a description
Year 3 sang and did the actions to head,shoulders, knees and toes. They learnt a new song too.






























Lo: to remember the colours in French
Year 3 practised singing Head,shoulder, knees and toes in French. They do love this song as it gets faster and faster. They then learnt the words for the Rainbow song and revised colours. They then wrote down the colours and drew the colour next to the word.
